Made for the gardener who can't haul a watering can anymore, who's come home from a trip to wilted plants, or who has a corner of the yard the hose never reaches.
Everything electronic is built into the solar panel: the pump, the battery, the timer and the buttons. A filter sits in your bucket or rain barrel, and tubing carries the water to a drip stake at the base of each plant. The water goes into the soil at the roots on a schedule you set once. You don't need a tap, an outlet, an app or batteries to replace.
You fill the bucket about once a week, and it takes care of the watering in between.
How It Works
1. Put the panel in the sun. Push its stake into the ground and tilt it toward the light.
2. Drop the filter end of the tubing into your bucket, rain barrel or anything else that holds water.
3. Run the tubing to your plants. It cuts with scissors, and the T-connectors split it so it reaches each one.
4. Push a drip stake into the soil at the base of each plant.
5. Set the schedule on the panel: how often it waters and for how long. That's it. Most people are done in about 15 minutes.

What's included
Solar Panel
The panel holds the pump, battery and timer. It pulls water from your container and sends it down the line on your schedule, all on sun power. The 2200mAh battery keeps it going at night and on cloudy days, and it lets you know before the water runs low. About 8.5 x 6 in (22 x 15 cm), 1.5W, and it charges fully in about 6 hours of direct sun.

Runs from the panel to each plant. Cut it to the length you need with scissors.
Drip Stakes (x15)
One goes in the soil next to each plant. Each stake lets the water out slowly and evenly, so every plant gets the same drink, right at the roots instead of on the leaves. Each stake is about 7 in (18 cm) long, with about 4 in (10 cm) in the soil.
Intake Filter
Sits in your bucket or barrel and catches leaves and dirt before they get into the tubing, so the line doesn't clog.
Ground Spike + Adjustable Mount
Pushes into the soil and holds the panel up. Tilt it to face the sun wherever you put it.
T-Connectors + Fittings

How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes for most people. There's no plumbing and no wiring. The only tool you need is a pair of scissors to cut the tubing.
How do I choose how often and how long it waters?
With the two buttons on the panel. One sets how often it waters, the other sets how long each watering lasts. Good starting points: pots and small beds, a short watering once a day. Raised beds and vegetables, a medium watering once a day. Big beds in hot weather, a longer watering or twice a day. Give it a few days, then push a finger an inch into the soil. Damp is perfect. Soggy means turn it down.
How often do I have to refill the bucket?
About once a week if you're watering 15 plants from a 5-gallon (19 L) bucket. The water goes straight into the soil at the roots, so very little is lost to evaporation and a bucket lasts longer than you'd expect. With a rain barrel you'll refill even less often. The panel also lets you know before the water runs low.
What can I use as a water source?
Almost anything that holds water: a 5-gallon bucket, a rain barrel, a storage tote, even a pond. Just drop the filter in and keep it underwater. Rain or pond water is fine, because the filter catches leaves, algae and grit before they reach the tubing. You can also mix a water-soluble liquid fertilizer into the water at the strength on the label, and it feeds your plants right at the roots every time it waters.
How long does it run without sunlight?
The battery inside the panel charges during the day, so it keeps watering at night and through a few cloudy days in a row.
Will the drippers clog?
No. The filter in your bucket catches leaves, dirt and grit before they ever reach the tubing, so the drip stakes stay clear and keep watering evenly.
How do you keep mosquitoes out of the bucket?
Cover it. Our Bucket Cover Net goes over the top of the bucket, so mosquitoes can't get to the water to lay eggs, and leaves and bugs stay out too. You can add it when you order.
Is overhead watering really that bad?
Watering from above every day keeps the leaves wet, and wet leaves are where fungus and leaf disease get started. Over a season that can cost you part of your harvest. Drip watering keeps the leaves dry and puts the water at the roots, where the plant actually drinks.
Can it water hanging baskets or pots up high?
Yes. The pump pushes water up to 8 feet (about 2.4 m) above your bucket, so hanging baskets, window boxes and tall planters are easy. A basket hanging 5 feet up gets watered just like a pot on the ground. Run the tubing up the post or wall and push a drip stake into the basket.
